Grand Traverse Musicale is delighted to announce the audition process for music scholarships to be awarded in the 2026 season.  We hope by getting this to you early, you will encourage applications from more of your students.  All are welcome.  Please share this page with students who may be good candidates.

            2025 GRAND TRAVERSE MUSICALE SCHOLARSHIP AUDITIONS

Our organization offers scholarships for brass/woodwind, keyboard, strings, and voice. Students in grades 7th-8th and 9th-11th in either public, private, or home school in the 5-county area are eligible to audition for the scholarships.  (Vocal students must be 13 years old on or before March 1, 2026 and will be required to sing one classical selection and a second one from classical or musical theater, (NO BELTING). Students in 12th grade may audition for the Collegiate Awards for college study.  The scholarships may be used to further musical progress: lessons, camp, or instrument purchase.  The number and amount of the awards given depends on funds raised by members of Grand Traverse Musicale in addition to contributions from generous donors.

Last year Grand Traverse Musicale awarded 30 scholarships: 7 to those in 7th and 8th grades, 14 to those in 9th through 11th grades, and 9 to those in 12th grade, for a total of $24,700  We are so proud of all the students who audition, and we are very happy that we can help them to expand their musical knowledge.  Please encourage your students to audition – the experience will help them grow!

APPLICATIONS:  Students apply with the two completed forms (Student and Parent forms) and payment found on the Scholarship page on this website beginning January 15, 2026

(Note – students may only apply in one category)

ONE DEADLINE ONLY FOR APPLICATIONS and AUDITION VIDEOS and FEE (including Essay and Music Copies for Seniors):

March 1, 2026 by 6:00PM – No Exceptions
