COLLEGE scholarship information

Grand Traverse Musicale is proud to offer generous scholarships for graduating seniors.

The college awards will be based on the following criteria:

Graduating Senior
Graduate attending college/university to pursue music
Majoring/minoring in music studies
Submission of a short essay - 300 words - describing impact of music on your life, and your hopes for the outcome of further music education. The essay may be submitted any time prior to the deadline, 6pm on 3/1/25, by using the convenient button below. Scans or hard copy of the music you plan to perform should also be sent before that date.
Perform in a video audition

Applicants should use the same application form available under "Scholarships" on this web site, and adhere to the same application deadline. Applications are found on the Scholarship Information page under the drop-down menu titled Scholarships.

Audition videos along with the essay, must be submitted by the deadline, March 1, 2025, 6pm.

ESSAY

Please describe how music affects your life, why you chose your instrument, what your musical experiences have been, how you would like to include music in your life and also indicate where you hope to study. Be mindful of spelling and grammar and tell us something interesting about yourself. Include your name!

Music Copies

Provide scans of your music to be performed. Be sure all notes, staves, clefs and bar lines are included, pages are as flat as possible, no shadows obscure the pages and frames are as straight as possible. Do NOT use a school email…..only personal or parent emails, please! More info after 3/1/25
