For Private Teachers and Music Specialists

Our organization offers scholarships for brass/woodwind, keyboard, strings and voice. Students in grades 7th-8th and 9th-11th in either public, private or home school in the 5-county area are eligible to audition for the scholarships.Vocal students must be 13 years old on or before March 1, 2024 and will be required to sing one classical selection and a second one, classical or musical theater, no belting. Students invite grade may audition for the Collegiate Awards for college study. The scholarships may be used to further musical progress: lessons, camp or instrum;ent purchase. The number and amount of the awards given depends on funds raised by member of Grand Traverse Musicale, in addition to contributions from generous donors.

in 2023, GTM awarded 35 scholarshipsL 4 to those in 7th and 8th grades, 22 to those in 9th through 11th grades and 9 to those in 12th grade for a total of $25,900. We are so proud of all the students who audition, and we are very happy that we can help them to expand their musical knowledge.
